18th Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale
over 100 homes participating!
Enter from North Greenmount between
Saturday, October 4, 2014
Welcome to our 18th annual neighborhood garage sale! We believe that we are the largest garage sale in the greater St. Louis area. This garage sale is held on the first Saturday of October every year.
The garage sale area covers over 20 streets with nearly 400 homes. Of that number, more than 100 homes' occupants participate in the garage sale each year. The "Participants" link below provides you with a list of streets and addresses, along with major items available for sale.
We have coordinated with officials at Whiteside Middle School and have received permission to use their 300-car parking lot for parking!! You can access the parking lot at the school's entrance on Lebanon Avenue. After parking on the lot you will walk across a short grassy area, entering the Hunters Crossing neighborhood on Cedar Mill Drive.
The St. Clair County Sheriff's department will be on hand to assist with traffic control. You can enter the garage sales via East B Street at Crosswinds Drive or Fox Glenn Drive (west of North Greenmount) or several streets north of East B Street on North Greenmount or from the parking lot at Whiteside Middle School. The main road that travels east/west through the neighborhood is Hunters Way; the main road that travels north/south through the neighborhood is Fox Glenn Drive. We suggest you park at Whiteside Middle School or near the west end of the neighborhood. There is usually much less congestion and plenty of parking. We also recommend that you bring a cart or wagon to help carry your treasures while shopping.
For your convenience, there will be 4 porta-potties placed around the neighborhood: 1. Eastridge Drive at Springbrook Drive; 2. Eastridge Circle at Hunters Way; 3. Fox Glenn Drive at Millbrook Drive; 4. Stonebridge Drive at Cedar Mill Drive.
The mobile Scott Credit Union ATM was such a success it will be here again this year at the corner of Hunters Way and Tanglebrook Drive!
